1. Overview
This Pricing & Fees policy explains how pricing, commissions, and fees work on Zexus marketplaces. It applies to all users, including clients, buyers, Pros, Dealers, and other service providers.
This policy forms part of the Terms of Use & Marketplace Rules and should be read together with that document and the Payments, Refunds & Disputes policy.
2. How Pricing Works on Zexus
On Zexus, Pros and Dealers set their own prices for services and assets.
Prices may vary based on:
- The complexity and scope of the work or asset.
- The Pro’s or Dealer’s experience, qualifications, and reputation.
- The selected service package or asset category.
- The number of deliverables or features included.
- The expected turnaround time or delivery timeline.
- The number of revisions or additional services.
- The location of the service or asset.
- Materials, tools, transport, or other expenses.
- Urgent or priority delivery.
- Market conditions and demand.
Clients and buyers should review listings carefully, compare multiple Pros or Dealers where possible, and confirm the exact scope and total cost before booking or purchasing.
3. Client & Buyer Pricing
3.1 What Clients & Buyers Pay
Clients and buyers pay:
- The Pro’s or Dealer’s listed price for the service or asset.
- Approved addons, extras, or additional services.
- Materials, transport, or other expenses where agreed.
- Paymentprovider charges where applicable (for example, card transaction fees).
- Taxes or other regulatory charges where applicable.
The total amount payable is shown before the client or buyer confirms and pays for the transaction.
3.2 Client Service Fees
At launch, Zexus does not charge clients or buyers a separate marketplace service fee.
Zexus may introduce a client service fee in the future. Any such fee will be:
- Clearly disclosed before payment.
- Shown as a separate line item in the checkout flow.
- Communicated in advance via the Platform or email.
4. Pro & Dealer Pricing
4.1 What Pros & Dealers Receive
Pros and Dealers receive the transaction amount minus:
- Platform commissions or fees.
- Paymentprovider charges (where deducted at source).
- Refunds, chargebacks, or reversals where applicable.
- Taxes or regulatory deductions where required.
The net amount is paid to the Pro or Dealer after the payment is released and settlement is complete.
4.2 Setting Prices
Pros and Dealers are responsible for:
- Setting accurate and competitive prices.
- Clearly describing what is included and excluded.
- Disclosing any additional charges, taxes, or expenses.
- Honoring the prices displayed at the time of booking or purchase.
Pros and Dealers must not add undisclosed charges after work has begun or after a transaction is confirmed.
5. Platform Commissions & Fees
5.1 Commission Structure
Pros and Dealers may pay a commission on completed transactions.
The applicable commission may depend on:
- Service or asset category.
- Package or transaction type.
- Transaction value.
- Promotional campaigns or introductory offers.
- Commercial arrangements or partnerships.
Unless otherwise stated, the commission is deducted at source before the Pro or Dealer receives settlement.
5.2 Current Commission Rates
ZexusPro (Professionals & Service Providers):
- Standard commission: 10% of the transaction value.
- Promotional or introductory rates may apply from time to time.
ZexusAuto (Dealers & Asset Sellers):
- Standard commission: 5% of the transaction value.
- Promotional or introductory rates may apply from time to time.
Commission rates will be displayed to Pros and Dealers before they confirm or accept a transaction.
5.3 Commission Changes
Zexus may update commission rates or fee structures from time to time.
Material changes will be communicated through the Platform, by email, or via a notice on the website before the changes take effect.
Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated fees.
6. PaymentProvider Charges
Payments on Zexus are processed by approved payment providers (for example, Paystack, FirstBank, or other licensed providers).
Paymentprovider charges may include:
- Card transactions: for example, 1.5% + ₦100 per transaction (or as per the provider’s current schedule).
- Bank transfers and USSD: fees as per the provider’s current schedule.
- Payouts to bank accounts: transfer fees as per the provider’s current schedule.
- Chargebacks or reversals: fees as per the provider’s policy.
Some paymentprovider charges may be borne by Zexus, while others may be passed through to clients, buyers, Pros, or Dealers. This will be disclosed before payment.

Zexus does not provide tax advice.
All users are responsible for:
- Understanding and complying with applicable tax obligations.

8. Changes to Pricing & Fees
Zexus may update pricing, commissions, fees, or charges from time to time to reflect changes in our business, paymentprovider costs, regulatory requirements, or market conditions.

Credits: what a bid costs
Professionals and Service Providers spend credits to bid on open jobs. Each job shows its credit cost before a bid is submitted. The rate below is read from the live platform setting, so it is always the rate actually charged.
